Is it us? Or does it feel like Chatbots are really starting to grow up? Gone are the days of goofy marketing campaign bots, enter hugely beneficial use cases and tech heavy weights. Awesome to see this growth in front of our very eyes!
Wow, really fascinating move in the Chatbot era. Similar to Jeff Pulver’s initiative to preempt this type of legislature with chabot commandments, including bot disclosure. We’ll be watching this closely to see how it affects our customer’s bots, as well as larger AI initiatives like Google Duplex. Here we go July ‘19...
So we’ve been talking about bots in ad units for quite some time--we’ve seen one with a 32% engagement rate which is 🍌🍌🍌 compared to the industry average. Cool to see Google prioritize this so heavily. We’re also in general big fans of any advertising initiative that breaks down that 4th wall.
So *this* is what LogMeIn has done with its Nanorep acquisition! What a great, behind-the-firewall use case, something large enterprises in general feel more comfortable launching first before something B2C facing. Has your business tried it yet? Let us know what you think!
We’ve said it before and we’ll continue to say it: the hard part of bots isn’t the tech, it’s the personality, design, and constant iteration. And the reality is the creative titans in the space, like R/GA, will continue to play a huge role in the roll out of AI and Chatbots to the average consumer.
