The moment we’ve all been waiting for is finally here. Bots are coming to Whatsapp! And, nearly 10 years since it first started, Whatsapp will finally actually make revenue (RIP $1/year subscription). Seems Facebook has learned from some of its mistakes on Messenger and is really focusing Whatsapp on B2C communication (vs. trying to recreate the App Store with bots). So exciting--Get started here!
Love this article. While it’s intended more as guidelines for startups looking to implement a chatbot, the lessons apply to any company considering a Chatbot. As the writer puts it, “deciding to launch a chatbot wasn’t a frivolous decision. It was a process that took several months to execute.” It’s a marathon, not a sprint.
Wow we love this article. First of all, it cuts through the hype of bots--bots are *not* right for a lot of things. But the reality is there is a lot of our day to day, our existing behaviors, that make bots really perfect for making life easier, better, more efficient. Any self-proclaimed “intrapreneur” in a large enterprise should feel empowered when reading this article to look around their workspace and see where they can improve internal workflows with a bot. We bet you’ll find a lot. #BotsBehindTheFirewall
Facebook making a play at owning payments via AI on Messaging. Kinda weird to see how this shakes out given the fact that WeChat and LINE have been dominating this for years. Maybe this explains why payments on Messenger has been in closed dev Beta for as long as it has?
